Understanding pavement friction is challenging; it is a complicated subject with many variables that can impact the results. How do we simplify the decision-making process? What do we need to know to confidently decide how to modify the pavement to increase friction? How does it impact our decision non-winter testing with water flow simulating heavy rain or in winter conditions? Alex will present several case studies to demonstrate how reliable repeatable data helps airports make better decisions about their airfields.
