SWIFT 2026: Strongest Attendance in More Than a Decade
For the first time in its 48 year history, SWIFT was hosted by Edmonton International Airport (YEG). This year saw 521 delegates (the strongest attendance since 2014) meet with other airport professionals, industry partners, and airfield experts from across Canada, the US, and beyond.
The week commenced with the Canadian Airfield Pavement Technical Group (CAPTG) Workshop, for technical discussion and knowledge exchange followed by three days of conference programming across two dedicated tracks: Operations and Pavement Technical.
Once again, the ‘SWIFT effect’ ensured sunny weather for the 2026 Equipment Edition, with more booths than ever before alongside live demonstrations, bringing equipment and technology to life and showcasing how the latest solutions performed in a real-world airfield environment.
The Welcome Night, sponsored by Aeromag, with drinks courtesy of Gazzola Paving, set the tone for a busy few days of networking followed by a bumper Eagle Night (courtesy of headline sponsor Team Eagle) followed, one the rooftop bar of the Canadian Ice House. The Expo Social, sponsored by ASGlobal (another extra-curricular highlight) also reflected the strong sense of community at the heart of SWIFT.
With attendance climbing year on year, SWIFT 2027 heads east to Montreal and a larger venue, Hotel Bonaventure, from 13-16th September 2027.
